Nicholas is a Singapore entrepreneur who co-founded his first tech startup when he was 16 in 1996, co-founded a consultancy practise in 2005, performed his first 7 M&As, launched a mobile Location Based Service startup and his first venture capital firm in 2006.
He acquired and still runs Fredrik Marine, a marine technology company in 2007 and co-founded another tech startup in 2008. He spent the last 6 years running Azione Capital, an Asia-focused early stage investment firm and startup accelerator with 4 successful exits to date.
Nicholas believes that society is elevated by entrepreneurs guided by sound moral and ethical principles. Since 2002, he has been actively giving back to Singapore society by mentoring budding entrepreneurs via Project Senso, an inclusive grassroots community of Singapore entrepreneurs.
He actively contributes to the Asian entrepreneur landscape by judging and mentoring in various enterprise challenges.
He is a staunch supporter and volunteer of the annual Singapore Young Entrepreneurs Symposium since its inauguration in 2008.
He hosts the monthly Singapore Entrepreneurs Network sessions, the largest Singapore entrepreneur group on meetup.com and co-hosts the Singapore Youth Entrepreneur Alliance.
Nicholas was nominated for the Spirit of Enterprise award in 2005 and was awarded the Fortis Hero award in 2008 and the Distinguished Defence Partner award (on behalf of Fredrik Marine) in 2012.
