Upon graduating from NUS with a Bachelor of Arts degree, John decided to fulfill his own childhood ambitions and venture into music full-time.
Having seen how vibrant the show choir culture is in the West, John envisioned an equally vibrant music culture in Singapore. In 2011, he founded John & Deniece Glee Studios Singapore, which allowed him to go about realizing this vision.

Upon graduating from NUS with a Bachelor of Arts degree, John decided to fulfill his own childhood ambitions and venture into music full-time.
Having seen how vibrant the show choir culture is in the West, John envisioned an equally vibrant music culture in Singapore. In 2011, he founded John & Deniece Glee Studios Singapore, which allowed him to go about realizing this vision.
Besides holding regular show choir training classes, Glee Studios has also been involved in community outreach projects. They recently held free show choir classes to the residents of Pioneer Constituency. There has also been a collaboration to use the mediums of music and dance to reach out to youths at risk, to support the underlying message that young Singaporeans in trouble do not have to become adults in trouble when they grow up.
A choral and show choir vocal director by day, John has worked with people from all walks of life, from the ages of 7 to 55. He has since believed that music is an excellent way to break barriers and reach out to people. He hopes to continue giving back to society by sharing his passion for music, in an effort to nurture and inspire creative young talents of tomorrow.
