An international award-winning environmental campaigner, Mark Cheng is the co-founder of Avelife, the largest social-environment charity based in Singapore. In the midst of his environment work, he discovered that there are no environment printers.
In 2011, he started Green Prints, operating 24 hours 7 days week, which is an environmental social enterprise that aims to provide the greenest and cheapest printing solution in Singapore, with the company belief that going green should not incur a premium but should be affordable to everyone.
Green Prints also supplies (and will soon produce) sugarcane paper, which is made from agricultural sugarcane waste and entirely on wind energy. As a strong patron of non-profits and charities, Green Prints offers a discounted rate for all their printing needs.
Since its inception, Green Prints has now more than 1000 clients from all over Asia-pacific. On the social level, Green Prints hopes to hire more matured workers and disadvantaged single mothers.
