As an aspiring designer, Raquel believes that the under-privileged and unseen should never be forgotten. She has since reached out to Singapore Cancer Society specifically the New Voice Club, Girls At Risk, Budding Youths, Family Centers and the general public through social media.
As an in-house designer for National Business Analytics Centre (NBAC), Raquel is also involved in the design and corporate branding for NBAC and Xemantiqs, a spin-off company from I2R, A*STAR.
In line with her motivations, she also partners with SL Education Center in developing graphics for Mathematics applications to aid youths in learning and understanding the subject more efficiently.
As a member of The Girls' Brigade Singapore for 9 years (1999 – 2007), Raquel accomplished many community services and overseas mission trip.
Raquel is currently pursuing her Diploma in Design and Media (Advertising) at NAFA with a three-year Ngee Ann Kongsi Scholarship. Raquel constantly keeps herself abreast with design trends and technologies and looks forward to furthering her education, so she can use her skills and passion to contribute to the community and her country.
