Pop singer G.NA's "Banana" song banned
22 Aug – Another Cube Entertainment star bites the dust, as G.NA's song "Banana" from her upcoming mini-album has been banned from broadcast on the MBC television network.
According to soompi website, G.NA planned to kick off her promotions with her first song, "Top Girl", while "Banana" was to be used as the follow-up song.
However, on 17 August, MBC held an evaluation and announced that they decided to ban the song.
"Banana" has been described to be a fun and lively track featuring Korean hip-hop artist Swings.
Cube Entertainment commented, "The song was not made with any intention of being explicit. "Banana" is a song about a confident woman and the song has the theme of living today in a different way and also starting again with fresh perspective."
Earlier in July, another Cube Entertainment singer, HyunA had to stop her "Bubble Pop!" promotion due to her sexually suggestive music video.
