'Pro Evo Soccer 2013' and 'FIFA 13' trailers burst out of Gamescom

Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 and FIFA 13 offer two contrasting trailers to show off two competing soccer games, both fresh out of the Gamescom video game expo in Cologne, Germany.

FIFA 13, launching the week of September 25, shows how players can dribble and dummy along with the world's best, capturing the unpredictability of football with goalpost ricochets, player collisions, and even more outrageous displays of skill.

Of course, there's plenty of time for new cover star Lionel Messi to work his magic, drafted in from long-time franchise rival Pro Evolution Soccer.

PES 2013, expected October, opts to summon the atmosphere of a football stadium on match day and, playing to the Gamescom home nation, sets up a clash between Germany's Bayern Munich and Spain's Real Madrid.

Losing Messi means gaining Cristiano Ronaldo, and it's he who stars here, along with Benzema, Robben, Ribery and Casillas.
