    The Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) has stopped the sale of a brand of tapioca balls commonly used to make Taiwan bubble tea in Singapore. In a Facebook post on Monday, the AVA said it had informed the local importers of Sunright brand tapioca balls -- commonly known as "pearls" -- to withdraw them from sale.

Malaysia, are set to converge at MIPIM Asia 2011, a preeminent real estate event

in the Asia-Pacific beginning tomorrow till Nov 17 at the Hong Kong Convention

and Exhibition Centre.

MIPIM Asia 2011, organised by Reed Midem, addresses the needs of real estate

professionals involved with or interested in the Asia-Pacific real estate

market.

It is created for investors to explore promising opportunities and

partnerships, developers to market projects to eager investors, cities and local

authorities to promote their regions.

The event is also created for end-users, hotel groups, retailers to find

prime partners and scout for new locations, as well as service providers to

engage with key decision-makers and foster new relationships.

Key speakers and specialist panels will offer participants valuable insights

into the Asia-Pacific real estate markets, local investment strategies and

industry segments to help move businesses forward in the region.

The topics for this year''s event include China: Tips for success and an

in-depth exploration of the market; South-East Asia: Emerging opportunities;

Finance & Investment: Local Practices; Retail: Growth Strategies; and,

Sustainable cities: The Real Estate of the Future.

Three Malaysian property developers -- IJM Land Bhd, Sunway Bhd and Selangor

State Development Corporation (PKNS) -- will showcase some of their most

prominent projects at the Malaysian Pavilion at the event.

Along with other government agencies such as MSC Malaysia, represented by

Multimedia Development Corp, UOA Development Bhd and Cyberview, the groups are

expected to form a dynamic Malaysian contingent at the trade show.

The Malaysian Pavilion is initiated by Malaysia Property Inc, a non-profit

government organisation under the Economic Planning Unit.

Meanwhile, the three-day event will provide institutional investors with the

opportunity to discuss with Malaysian companies on potential en-bloc residential

and commercial acquisitions, seek joint-venture partners for development
