Puma launches running app

To compete with the likes of Runkeeper and iMapMyRun, Puma has just launched a free running app for the iPhone featuring a user-friendly design and built-in Tictrac technology, which analyzes how external conditions affect your runs.

Puma says its new app is "designed to motivate athletes to get out the door and discover ways to get the most out of a workout while having fun along the way."

The app, PUMATRAC, requires little to no input of data, which Puma says differentiates it from other apps on the market. Rather, PUMATRAC uses data available based on environmental factors, such as moon phase, weather, location, altitude, music playlist, time, day, season, and social media activity. The idea is to give runners insights into how to improve their runs, such as whether or not you run faster in the morning or when listening to hip hop music. Also you can share your data and insights with friends via social media in real time.

In addition, the app tracks distance, calories burned, and performance over time.

PUMATRAC is available to download from iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/in/app/pumatrac/id698298978?l=en
