South Korea’s Park Ji Sung proved to be the biggest draw among the six new signings on the team list. QPR’s chief executive officer, Philip Beard confirmed the diminutive midfielder will see some action in the club’s first ever game in Asia. Apart from Park, the other six new players brought along are Ryan Nelsen, Andy Johnson, Rob Green, Samba Diakite and Fabio Da Silva, loaned from Manchester United for one season.
The Sabah selection meanwhile will be strengthened by three foreign stars, namely Titus Bonai and Oktavianus Maniani of Indonesia, Australian Robbie Gaspar and Singapore international Baihakki Khaizan along with their Malaysian Super League (MSL) players.
Sabah aside, QPR are also scheduled to take on MSL champions Kelantan on Friday and Indonesian club Persebaya Surabaya three days later.
