8 Jan – Nicholas Tse, Shawn Yue, Simon Yam and William Chan can now breathe a sigh of relief, as their latest movie, "As the Light Goes Out" is a success at the box office.

Oriental Daily reported that the movie about fire-fighters made HKD 12.35 million (approx. USD 1.59 million) at the Hong Kong box office after only four days since its release on 2 January.

Emperor Group's Albert Yeung is the happiest of all, announcing that if the box office reached HKD 20 million and RMB 200 million in Hong Kong and mainland China respectively, he will turn HKD 1 million (USD 128,959) and RMB 5 million (USD 826,280) as cash prizes for the cast and crew who have gave their best effort into making the film.

The movie is the third action film to gain an excellent reception from moviegoers, after Louis Koo's "The White Storm" and Andy Lau's "Firestorm". The two other movies accumulated over RMB 200 million during its release back in December.

In related news, the stars of "As the Light Goes Out" have been promoting the movie separately in several venues since the movie's release.

While director Derek Kwok and actors William Chan and Kenny Kwan attended the Shanghai press conference, Simon Yam has been attending promotional activity in Chengdu alone, while Nicholas Tse will be making an appearance in Shenzhen later on.
