YOUR FRIENDS' ACTIVITY

SHAH ALAM: It was like any other working day for a 24-year-old trainee of Lembaga Tabung Haji (LTH), but this time around she was robbed and raped before being left at a commuter station at Batu 3 in Subang Jaya.

Her perpetrators drove her to a house in the early hours of the morning, blindfolded her and subjected her to an ordeal when they ripped off her clothes and made her pose naked for pictures.

It is learnt that the woman would park her car and use the commuter train to get to work in the city.

The incident took place when she parked her car in the car park of the Section 19, Shah Alam commuter station at about 6am.

According to a police spokesman, when she was about to get out of her car, she noticed another car pulling up next to hers.

One of the two suspects, armed with a parang, rushed to her car and dragged her out from the front passenger seat after threatening to kill her if she did not give in to their demands.

The men pulled off her headscarf and blindfolded her when she did did not have enough money on her.

"They dragged her into their car and drove off to a house after ditching their initial plan to withdraw her money from the nearest bank," the spokesman said.

They took her to a house where she later learnt of a third suspect who was on his way to rape her after overhearing their phone conversation.

It is believed one of the suspects was desperate for money and owed RM2,000 to a loan shark.

Ten minutes later, still blindfolded, she was raped and forced to pose naked for pictures taken with the perpetrator's handphone.

The woman was later made to call her boyfriend to bank in some money into her account.

The trio later took her to a bank to withdraw RM500 before abandoning her at the commuter station.

Shah Alam police chief ACP Zahedi Ayob said police had identified the suspects and were looking for them.

The case is being investigated under Section 376 and 395 of Penal Code for rape and gang robbery.

Its festival season, crime goes up. Where are the cops ? Why waste time on political cases at this time, where the public need the police most. My sympathies to this girl. May the idiots be caught fast and put in jail for good. Show no mercy for such crimes.

AGREED!! there should be heavier punishments for this kind of evil. even the procedures for the victims have to be revised to ensure the silent are able to speak out without fear and also receive the right and adequate help

all of us need to be careful at all times for the unexpected to happen, think proactively what can happen and what actions to be taken. For those going early morning to work. Look around before opening your car doors. see if there is some one folowing you. Above all we need to come up with some civil plan to overcome this type of incidents. My heart sinks for this person. Hope the authority will get the person concern and bring to justice.

Mens pls be kind enough to send or atleast don't leave the females either your friends or family to go to work or be out at odd or dangerous hours alone. Sending them to work or any places might be irritating but atleast a woman you know will be safe and just maybe doing this can help to prevent crimes done to females....No matter how strong a gal is when a weapon is showed and she was attacked suddenly they will get panic unless they are well versed in martial arts. Lets do something together to prevent crimes. As a female who always travel around and work late hours alone, i will remind myself to be extra carefull and i might keep a parang in my car for own safety......

ALERT!!!!.....Police and armGuard....they should do more patrols at the beginning hours in the morning time....and as well quiet hours midnite.....especially surround public transport terminal area, and all the car-park area. Don't use patrol car only, some walking and some use motorbike. Should be more effective.

goverment need to introduce new kind of harsher punishment for these kind of crimes...if only sentence to jail, it wont prevent the crime from happening again. why not just cut their arms if they robbed, a punishment like that will surely scare and make they think twice before doing any crimes. it hurts my feeling as these kind of crimes always appear in the front page of the newspaper.
