Seoul shares open higher; exporters, steelmakers up

SEOUL, Aug 29 - Seoul shares opened higher on Friday after a report showed surprisingly robust second quarter growth in the U.S. economy, lifting exporters across the board, while easier oil further boosted market sentiment.

The Korea Composite Stock Price Index <.KS11> was up 1.46 percent at 1,495.29 points as of 0004 GMT.
