Sept 5 - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals involving European, U.S. and Asian companies were reported by 2000 GMT on Friday.

** Samsung Electronics Co Ltd <005930.KS>, the world's top maker of memory chips, said it may buy flash memory maker SanDisk <SNDK.O>, which is valued at $3.2 billion, in a deal that could reshape a struggling industry.

** Philip Morris International <PM.N> said it will extend its offer of about C$2 billion to buy Canada's No. 2 cigarette maker, Rothmans Inc <ROC.TO>, to Sept 16, pending a Canadian regulatory review. [ID:nN05506875]
