S.Korea warns of action to check won's fall

SEOUL, Aug 27 - South Korea will take action to check the won's <KRW=> sharp falls as the country is concerned about its recent decline, a senior finance ministry official said on Wednesday.
"We are worried about the won's recent falls and will closely watch the markets. We will take action, if necessary," Choi Jong-ku, the head of the ministry's international finance bureau, told reporters.
