S.Korea seen selling dlrs to prop up won - traders

SEOUL, Aug 22 - South Korea's foreign exchange authorities were seen selling dollars to prop up the won <KRW=> on Friday, traders said.

The won was quoted at 1,051.3/2.7 per dollar as of 0356 GMT, compared with Thursday's domestic close of 1,054.9 <KRW=KFTC>.

Before the reported intervention, the local currency fell to as low as 1,056.6, the weakest since July 2.
