GM Europe boss heads for Jaguar - paper

LONDON, Nov 8 - Carl-Peter Forster, who quit as head of General Motors Europe [GM.UL] on Friday, is due to take charge of Indian group Tata Motors' <TAMO.BO> luxury British carmaker Jaguar Land Rover, the Sunday Times newspaper said.

The paper cited sources in Frankfurt as saying that Forster was likely to be given a senior role at Tata Motors <TTM.N> which could involve him running the company's British operations.

Forster left GM after criticising it for reversing a decision to sell European unit Opel to Canadian auto parts company Magna <MGa.TO>. [ID:nL6709634] No one at Jaguar Land Rover was immediately available to comment.
