14 Feb – Sakai Masato would be starring in Fuji TV's new drama series "Legal High" as an arrogant lawyer, alongside with Aragaki Yui as his disagreeable colleague.
According to Tokyo Hive, Masato would play as Komikado Kensuke, a lawyer who opens up his own law office after passing the bar examination, who has never lost a lawsuit throughout his career, using his sharp tongue and arrogance.
Aside from his arrogance, Komikado seems to only value money, fame and women, much to the detriment of his colleague Mayazumi Machiko (played by Aragaki), but she never realises that he lives by an honour code that lawyers should always serve in the best interest of their clients.
As Machiko and Komikado slowly grow closer to each other despite their arguments, Komikado faces his mentor-turned-rival played by Namase Katsuhisa from another law firm. Other casts that will be appearing are Koike Eiko as Komikado's secretary and Satomi Kotaru as a general clerk in Komikado's office.
"Legal High" is thriller comedy written by Kosawa Ryota, famed for writing the "Always" series, and this is the first time Masato is paired with Aragaki in leading roles.
"The script is just too interesting. Furthermore, it's my first time working with Aragaki. I want to work as hard as I can and hope that will be enough to keep up with her energy." Masato said.
"Legal High" is expected to begin broadcasting in April, replacing the currently shown "Strawberry Night" starring Takeuchi Yuko.
