Selita Ebanks creating swimwear line

Selita Ebanks is launching a swimwear line.

The former Victoria’s Secret model announced the news at a party to celebrate Christian Louboutin’s 20th anniversary in New York City.

Her boyfriend Terrence J was the first to mention the plan, but Selita was happy to follow up on his comments.

“She's launching her own fashion line!" Terrance declared.

Selita added: “Oh yeah! I'm launching my own swimwear collection.”

The model has a very set idea of who her new pieces will appeal to. She wants to ensure women who jet set and spend time on yachts are adequately catered for.

“I just feel like a woman should be able to go from the pool, the yacht, the beach, straight to dinner with her boo and still be fabulous and chic,” she explained.

The star is yet to confirm what the collection will be called or when it will hit stores. Shoes, accessories and beach cover-ups will all be included in it, and for Selita the process of creating the pieces has been a steep learning curve.

“There's a long process of learning, you know, what a dart really is, hems, fabric, and testing things out — trial and error,” she told The Cut.
