Christopher Lee nominated for Golden Bell

20 Sep – Singapore-based actor Christopher Lee has revealed that he has been nominated for the 49th Golden Bell Awards for the Best Actor in a TV series category.

According to The Straits Times, the 42-year-old's role as an architect with relationship troubles in the 2013 Taiwanese drama, "A Good Wife" had earned him the spot at the prestigious award ceremony that's the equivalent of the American Emmy Awards.

The Mediacorp actor will be up against four other nominees.

The Golden Bell Awards will be held on two dates. The awards ceremony for the broadcast category will be held on October 18 while the awards ceremony for the television category will be held on 25 October according to China Topix.

The 25 October event is considered the bigger event of the two and will be hosted by Taiwanese celebrity Sam Tseng and Selina Jen from the Taiwanese girl group S.H.E.

The award for the Best Actor in a TV series category last year went to Taiwanese actor Vic Chou for his role in "Home".
