Smart iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus registration page is up
A day after Globe Telecom’s preorder page for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus went up, Smart Communications’ registration page for the new Apple handset models has gone live, too.
It’s highly likely that both telcos will launch the iPhone at the same time then, probably on November 15 again.
Last year, the Apple iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c debuted in the Philippines on the same date. In 2012, the iPhone 5 was launched on December 15.
The official rollout of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in the country could bring down the cost of the devices in the black market further. In September, the handsets fetched a ridiculous price of as much as P117,585.
As with Globe, Smart has not announced its pricing for the new iPhone models—which have gone on to become the best-selling Apple mobiles—yet. But it has promised to “send another email for the details of the plans and offers,” which could be at any time soon.
