SS501's Kim Hyun-joong back to school

27 May –K-pop boy band SS501's lead singer Kim Hyun-joong has gone back to school after dropping out earlier to pursue a showbiz career, according to South Korean media as reported by Channel News Asia.

According to a spokesperson from Kim's agency KeyEast Entertainment, the Korean heartthrob who entered showbiz at the tender age of 19 in 2005, has since enrolled in Chungwoon University to study stage production management.

"Kim Hyun Joong became a college student earlier this year and is juggling both his studies and preparations for his [upcoming] new solo [album] release.

"Although his school is far away from the recording studio, he is cutting back on his sleep to do both," said a KeyEast Entertainment spokesperson, who also revealed that Kim had recently cleared his mid-term exams.

The spokesperson added that Kim had taken pains to keep this a secret as he preferred to lead the life of an ordinary student.

This is not the first time Kim had gone back to school.

The 24-year-old "Boys Over Flowers" star enrolled in Korea's Kyonggi University five years ago after taking time off work to clear his high school leaving examinations.

Unfortunately, he did not manage to complete his course at Kyonggi University due to work commitments.
