3 Jun – Most Hong Kong tabloids are reporting that the latest development in the Cecilia Cheung-Nicholas Tse marital strife is that Tse is to drop all intentions he might have had earlier for a divorce, according to Jayne Stars.

Appledaily reported that Cheung had taken a friendly photo with scandalous ex-flame Edison Chen and this was said to be the root instigator for all events that were to follow regarding the marital strife between showbiz couple.

Tse is currently filming "The Viral Factor" in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Production halted for the last two days and cast and crew members pursued their own interests to take advantage of the filming break.

However, Tse reportedly remained inside the hotel due to his marital problems. Remaining in contact with Tse throughout the ordeal, Nic's EEG manager, Mani Fok was quoted as saying: "He is currently filming and many action scenes require his participation rather than using a stunt double. Earlier, Nic filmed a scene where he had to jump from an eight storey building. He did not tell EEG in advance about this stunt. I want him to focus his concentration first and not think any troubling thoughts."

Asked whether Nic was distracting himself with work, Mani said, "I don't think so. Aside from filming, he normally does not go outside." Mani said that she normally does not ask about Nic's private matters. "This is to prevent additional exchanges will will trouble him further." Mani indicated that after completing "The Viral Factor", Nic will quickly film a mainland series.

"Nic will have several days of rest in between the projects. I suggested that he does not return to Hong Kong, since it will not be enough time for him to rest anyway." Yesterday, a mainland report claimed that Nic had a mistress in Beijing, which provoked Cecilia's anger in wrestling financial control over Nic's assets. Mani was quoted as denying the rumours: "It's unnecessary to respond to an 'insider's scoop' everyday. These news are nonsensical. There is no need to respond to anything that is false."

Mani was confident that there was no third party in Nic and Cecilia's relationship. "For a man who stays home aside from work, it's very hard for him to keep a mistress."

There are reports that an unidentified friend Tse came forward to say that he "had a soft heart and did not want his sons Lucas and Quintus to grow up in a single-parent family".

On another note, Cheung appeared with a wide smile while filming "Repeat, I Love You" opposite South Korean actor Kwon Sang-woo on location in Shenzhen last night, indicating her good spirits.
