Top brand pages on Google +: World Economic Forum, Virgin

Over the seven days prior to February 13, members of Google's social network Google + have been following the World Economic Forum and Virgin.

The popularity of the Google + brand page of the World Economic Forum is most likely due to continuing posts from the organization relating to its recent annual meeting, which took place in Davos from January 26-29.

The popularity of Virgin is most likely due to the fact that the founder and CEO took to the brand's, and his own, Google + page on February 9 to answer followers' questions directly.

The ten most popular Google + brand pages, in terms of weekly change in the number of followers across all countries, are as follows:

    01.   World Economic Forum (+6,160 followers)
    02.   Virgin (+5,984 followers)
    03.   Time (+5,136 followers)
    04.   The Wall Street Journal (+5,025 followers)
    05.   The Economist (+4,753 followers)
    06.   NBC Sports (+4,684 followers)
    07.   Lifehacker (+4,600 followers)
    08.   Financial Times (+4,574 followers)
    09.   The New York Times (+4,496 followers)
    10.   Uniqlo (+4,080 followers)
