Circle Line's Marina Bay and Promenade MRT stations resumed at 12:40pm after a track fault occurred at 12:08pm, it said. About 300 passengers were affected by the disruption.

The disruption comes less than a week after the opening last Saturday of the Bayfront and Marina Bay stations which lie on the affected stretch.

SMRT said that bus bridging service was made available and that commuters could also take SMRT Bus Service 106 outside Suntec City, and outside the entrance of Bayfront station and Circle Line Marina Bay station for free.

Train service between Dhoby Ghaut and Harbourfront was unaffected, it said.
