Trade your wheels conveniently with Carmudi’s new mobile website

Emerging markets are motivation for launching mobile site, says Co-founder Stefan Haubold. Users can now easily find, sell vehicles on the go

Rocket Internet-backed online vehicle marketplace Carmudi has announced the launch of its mobile website. With this, Carmudi’s customers in Asia, Middle East, Africa and Latin America can conveniently find vehicles on the go.

As per Carmudi, the mobile site has been designed with a simplified layout, as well as mobile-optimised content and images. The goal is to achieve low loading times and make it more receptive to user input such as scrolling and swiping across the device’s screen.

In addition, Carmudi’s mobile website features a more visual navigation route, with a style focus that is optimised for marketing and customer relationship management. It also features additional filters and a clear multi-step checkout.

According to Stefan Haubold, Co-founder of Carmudi, emerging markets are a big motivation behind launching its new mobile site. “In emerging markets, smartphones and tablets are becoming increasingly important devices to access websites online. We believe that mobile shopping is going to account for significant parts of the global e-commerce sector in future,” he said.

“This is why Carmudi is taking part in this development by offering a second screen for cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles. Altogether, the optimisation of our mobile website is another step towards our goal of becoming the number one vehicle classifieds player in our target markets,” added Haubold.

With the new mobile site, Carmudi aims to build on its strengths, which include trust-building for vehicle dealers and agents through the setting up of individual personalised webpages, as well as a high level of transparency by the use of professional photos, updated listings, detailed descriptions, reports and rankings for all of its vehicles in each market.
