Basketball games NBA 2K13 and NBA Live 13 are warming up for their appearances on shop shelves and TV screens in a pair of flashy new trailers, though of the two it's Live that is waiting on a release date.
Well-established series NBA 2K is this year proposing an Olympic-themed match-up as one of this year's new features, continuing its courtship of b-ball stars past and present, with the USA's 1992 and 2012 winning teams included in NBA 2K13's rosters and center stage in this latest trailer.
Meanwhile, NBA Live 13 is on the comeback trail after a three year hiatus, but where it had once been expected early October, the game's official blog now promises "release at a later date" with more information to follow "in the future."
EA Sports' NBA Live 13 has been announced for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, while 2K Sports' NBA 2K13 is heading to 360, PS3, Wii, Windows PC and PSP in the first week of October, forming part of the Wii U's November 18 launch line up in North America.
