To mark the release of Britney Spears's "I Wanna Go" music video, microbloggers have taken the liberty of changing the name to "IWannaGodney" as they post about the clip.

Twitterers in the Northern hemisphere are rejoicing now that summer has finally arrived. The hashtag "#firstdayofsummer" accompanies tweets about summer holiday plans, favorite summer activities and reports of hot weather.  

"#Footloose" takes the number one position in Twitter’s most talked about topics and is followed by "#basketballquotes" in second place and "#newyorkquotes" in fourth place.

Spanish- and English-speaking microbloggers are complaining that the taco restaurant El "Borrego Viudo" has been closed in Mexico City.

The name of Maroon 5's new single "Moves Like Jagger" is in seventh place, the name of popular Korean drama "Naughty Kiss" is in eighth place and American animated TV series "Phineas & Ferb" is in ninth place.

According to Twitter users and British tabloids, Portuguese football coach "Andre Villas-Boas" is set to become Chelsea Football Club's new manager.
