Twitter index: Thanksgiving Day, things that money can’t buy

Twitter users are wishing their followers a happy Thanksgiving

Twitter users around the globe are wishing their American followers a happy Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 24.

Microbloggers are reminding their friends to “help those in need,” “spend time with your families and eat lots of turkey” on the annual holiday.

American pop-punk band The Summer Set revealed they will release a holiday-themed EP called “What Money Can’t Buy” on November 28.

“Proud to say on 11/28 we will be releasing a holiday EP titled #Whatmoneycantbuy and donating all proceeds to Toys For Tots!” tweeted band member Brian Logan Dales (@brianlogandales).

Variations of the EP name are trending in first and third positions on the most talked about topics chart as Twitterers use the terms to post about the things money can’t buy.

Money can’t buy: “more time in this world, so live every moment like its your last,” “[r]eal friends and true love” or “happiness but I'd rather cry in a Ferrari,” say microbloggers.

The movies “Bad Boys 2,” “Trouble Maker” and “Ace Ventura” fill fifth, seventh and eighth positions. The MTV series “Guy Code” is in sixth place.

Turkish-speaking Tweeps are celebrating Teachers’ Day with ninth place term “Öğretmenler Günü” and Australian Twitter users are discussing comments made by former senior cabinet minister for the Australian government Peter Reith during his appearance on the Australian TV show The Drum. The name of American rapper “Rocko” appears in tenth place.
