Twitter index: things Twitter has taught the world

Twitter has highlighted progress against extremist content in its latest transparency report

For the second day in a row, Twitter users are providing their followers with a long list of things they learned on the social network.

"Muggle schools don't do a good enough job of teaching the difference between 'your' and 'you're,'" "people like to follow you, read your thoughts, but don't want to actually communicate with you!," "we DONT need to watch the news to know what's happening around the world" and "How to REALLY 'make a long story short.' 140 characters or less to be exact," are things people say they have learned by using Twitter.

On the morning of July 28 tweeps are reliving their favorite Harry Potter moments in 140 characters or less, chatting about American football player "Reggie Bush" and wishing their friends goodnight.

"#SaveChristinaPerasso" is promoted at the top of the chart while the hashtags "#rappernames" and "#sabesquetecargoelpayaso" are third and fourth on the list.

According to Twitter users American singer Joe Jonas has changed the release date of his forthcoming album Fast Life to September 6.

American sitcom "Kenan & Kel" and American dating show "Hell Date" are back in Twitter's trending topics in fifth and eighth places.
