Twitter index: Tweeps name the sexiest man alive

US actor Bradley Cooper is to become anti-terrorist crimefighter Mack Bolan

Microbloggers have dating, sexy men and potential new partners on their mind on the morning of November 17.

They are using their 140 characters to post about who they think is the sexiest man alive and asking their followers to “hook me up” with someone they find attractive.

People magazine has named Bradley Cooper the sexiest man alive for 2011 but not everyone on the social network agrees with the selection.

“Obviously this TT is about Justin [Bieber]” say Justin Bieber fans while other Twitter users think that David Beckham, Shia LaBeouf, Zac Efron, Robert Pattinson or Johnny Depp should be awarded the title.

All the chatter about sexy men has inspired the third place term “question for my crush.” “#GuyCode” is also trending but moves down two positions overnight to fourth on the list of most talked about Twitter trends.

“Things that need to stop” is in fifth place, “No Basketball Anymore” a phrase formed out of the NBA acronym moves down two places to number seven, and “just get over it” appears in ninth place.

Twitterers are talking about American rapper Ludacris and his dig at rappers “Drake and Big Sean” in a new mixtape track called “Bada Boom.”

Twitter users are celebrating the centennial of African-American fraternity Omega Psi Phi with the tenth place term “Happy Centennial.”
