Twitter simplifies profiles by hiding @replies on verified accounts

Twitter is updating the default profile view for users with verified accounts to make it easier for people to discover their original tweets.

Instead of showing both original tweets and conversations between famous actors, musicians, brands and athletes with a verified account and their followers, the new default “No replies” view will display only original tweets.

“This simplified profile, which we’re rolling out to verified accounts over the coming weeks, makes it easier to understand what kind of content the user shares on Twitter, and what Tweets you’ll see if you follow them,” explained Michael Sippey, Director, Product Team at Twitter.

The conversational view can still be seen by clicking on “All” above the tweets timeline on verified users’ profile pages. However, you will need to be following both the Tweet author and the @username who replies in order to view the full conversation.
