Valentino's Archive, 130 Couture Gowns And A Princess' Wedding Dress To Feature In Brand New Exhibition - See A Sneak Preview Here!

Ever wondered how a couture gown is made? And ever dreamed of seeing a veritable army of once off gowns in one room? Well dream no more because a retrospective of Valentino Garavani’s fifty year career is on its way to London, and we’ve just had a sneak preview! The exhibition opening on November 29th will revolve mostly around his couture gowns – there will be 130 haute couture designs on display to be exact- as well as previously unseen photographs (with a beautiful Natalia Vodianova making a few appearances) and unseen footage behind the scenes at Valentino.

We already showed you photos of his beautifully opulent home yesterday, and now at Valentino: Master of Couture visitors can see previously unseen photographs of the designer and his models, muses and designs. Then one moves through to a reverse fashion show, with visitors walking down a catwalk while viewing dresses worn by the loveliest of leading ladies; Julia Roberts, Jackie O, Grace Kelly, Sophia Loren and Gwyneth Paltrow are amongst the legendry pack.

The final section of the exhibition will allow visitors to see the painstaking blood, sweat and tears that goes into creating couture pieces – all revolved around the spectacular wedding dress of Princess Marie Chantal of Greece and a group of films showing all the behind-the scenes action at the Valentino atelier.

Have a look through our stunning gallery of our highlights from the exhibition. Valentino: Master of Couture will run from 29 November 2012 to 3 March 2013 at Somerset House. Click here for more details and tickets!
