Vermont's Wanderlust welcomes yogis to four-day fest

One of the biggest yoga parties of the year is ramping up in Vermont as thousands of yogis will soon head to the mountains for four days of Wanderlust, June 21-24.

Now in its fourth year, Wanderlust expects to draw a crowd of some 5,000 yogis to an event that will provide stiff competition to the plethora of summer music festivals happening this month.

Days are for downward dogs with 40+ yoga instructors teaching a myriad of techniques and styles, as well as a play lounge, hoop dance, hikes, YogaSlackers demos (yoga performed on a slackline), and meditation sessions.

Headliners include musician Ziggy Marley and writer and spiritual guru Deepra Chopra alongside yoga celebrities Shiva Rea, Krishna Das, and Seane Corn.

Nights are hedonistic dance parties featuring top musical acts and DJs.

Sister events happen in Colorado's Copper Mountain Resort on July 5-8, California's Squaw Valley on July 26-29, and Whistler, BC, on August 23-26.

Other similar yoga/party events include Ojai Yoga Crib, Bhakti Fest, and Evolve Music and Yoga Festival, but Wanderlust reportedly attracts the largest, most hedonistic crowds.
