Victoria Beckham's Flat Boots, Gisele's Comeback, Twilight FROWers: Our Highlights from New York Fashion Week!

1. Shoe Wars

Both Victoria Beckham's flat bikers and Rodarte's first ever own-brand ankle boots were in fierce competition for the mantle of top footwear offering from NYFW. But then again, Marc Jacob's unexpectedly covetable/totally bonkers pilgrim courts could be the triumphant party if Twitter is anything to go by. Which is it.

2. Baby Skyler Makes An Apperance

Babies on the FROW - it's the new 'it' bag, bascially. Rachel Zoe let her little bubba, Skyler, get the best seat in the house with Papa Rodger Berman for her first ever runway show. Obvs, we're not forgetting about our other favourite celebrity offspring, Harper, whom Mama VB named an A/W'12 bag after.

3. It's All About Altuzarra

French-born American-based Altuzarra started in 2009 with the loyal support of fellow francais fashion pal (and not a bad person to have on your side) Carine Roitfeld, but this is his BIG entrance season. A game changer, in fact. His modern folk is TDF and Anna Wintour smiled LOADS.

4. Random FROW pals

Can't saw we saw this coming. George Lucas (as in Star Wars creator) sat next to Dakota Fanning at Rodarte. Randoms.

5. Gisele's Grand Return to NYFW

International goddess and worlds richest super, Gisele, decided to break her 10 year run of not walking at NYFW for a storming strut down fashion darling Alexander Wang's catwalk. She definitely means business in that black leather getup. Nice to see you, lady.

6. Gwen Stefani's Beehive Catwalk Copycats

Is that Gwen Stefani modelling her own autumn/winter 2012 L.A.M.B line? Oh no, wait, it's just lots of models with Gwen's signature hair do. So we're back to beehives for A/W'12, then!

7. Clarins Girls RULE!

The Courtin Clarins sisters Virginie (far right) and Claire far left) plus their cousins Prisca (middle right) and Jenna (middle left) are THE new NYFW elite, and not only did they notch up countless brilliant outfits but the Clarins clan took up plenty of FROW space at everywhere from Tommy Hilfiger to Prabal Gurung.

8. Occupy comes to NYFW!

Those Occupy protestors don't miss a beat. And they've ticked off a few of this season's most novel trends in the process - candy coloured hair, Barbie-eccentric and platformed sneakers...

9.  Twilight Girls Hit The FROW

Kristen Stweart who? The New York A-listers really causing a stir were Twilights other ladies – Nina Dobrev enjoyed her first fashion week ever, Nikki Reid looked bloody cool and Ashley Greene was so poopular she caused a photographer pile-up on the Donna Karen runway.

10. Hanneli and Olivia Palermo Are Fashion Twins!

One Tibi nautical striped jacket called Horatio, two of our favourite ladies called Hanneli and Olivia, and a sudden urge to buy said jacket... it's a mystery!
