'The Addams Family' vs. 'Gilligan's Island': Vote for the Best TV Theme Songs

Creepy and kooky, or a three-hour tour? You decide in Round 2 of Yahoo! TV's Theme Song Thunderdome.

With March Madness in full swing, we decided to do a TV-themed bracket of our own: a no-holds-barred tournament to determine the best TV theme song of all time. After lots of heated debate, we've selected and ranked 32 of the most memorable TV theme songs ever, pitting them against each other in a winner-takes-all bracket. Over the next few weeks, we're asking you to vote for your favorite theme songs until we get a winner -- and a few songs stuck in your heads.

(13) "The Addams Family"

Don't discount the snaps. The "Addams Family" theme song defeated the "Brady Bunch" theme in Round 1 -- we know, the "Bunch"! -- and if we had to guess why, it would all come down to those snaps. People who've never even seen an episode of the sitcom about the kooky, spooky, ooky fam still know the theme song, and exactly where to snap along, so while the odds heavily favor "Gilligan" here, you can't count "The Addams Family" out.

(12) "Gilligan's Island" ("The Ballad of Gilligan's Isle")

Who doesn't know and love the theme song that sets up the action on "Gilligan's Island"? Still, we were surprised that the "Gilligan" theme so handily defeated its Round 1 competition, grabbing more than 80 percent of the votes versus the "Diff'rent Strokes" theme… the world does move to the beat of just one drum in this case, and it was the "Gilligan" theme, meaning the "Island" theme has to be among the favorites to win this whole thing.
