Halloween spookiness? We think there’s nothing more fearsome than raging hunger pangs that strike past midnight.

So here are the ten best supper spots to quell a growling stomach at. Late night dim sum, ramen, hot pot… Shiok!

Swee Choon Tim Sum Restaurant might not have any Michelin Stars to its name, but its affordable variety of dim sum will leave you satisfied. The established dim sum spot draws crowds with interesting items like the frittered Fried Mee Sua Kueh and usual suspects such as the molten Custard Lava Bun.

Among the many supper spots in Geylang, JB Ah Meng ranks among my favourite. Its signature JB San Lou Bee Hoon is a plate of silky smooth and flavourful vermicelli, fried to perfection with charred bits all around. Similarly delightful are their White Pepper Crabs, cooked in a garlicky sauce and melding perfectly with the crustacean’s natural sweetness.

Seng Huat Coffee Shop is a one-stop shop for supper lovers, with options aplenty. Go for their umami-rich Bak Chor Mee, which ranks among the best in Singapore, and add extra braised mushrooms while you’re at it. If not, try the adorable Piggy Pork Chop Burger, which is extra satisfying with a cup of kopi.

A supper list would be sorely incompletely without Hai Di Lao. The steamboat chain is known and loved for its mala (numbingly hot) soup base, and the best part is that you can customise how spicy you’d like it to be. Another must-try is the mildly spicy umami-filled Tomato Soup broth, which is perfect for dipping slices of pork belly.
