These 10 startups will make Chaebols think twice about the startup ecosystem

The Echelon TOP100 team heads over to South Korea to witness 10 startups spark a fervour amongst judges and fans. Fight!

South Korea is known for the dominance and influence of a prominent few Chaebols. The phenomenon has led South Koreans to strongly avoid any form of market competition – causing a low drive for entrepreneurship in the country.

However, sentiments are shifting with a new wave of young and creative “renegades” who are giving the Chaebols a run for their money. There is no doubt that the 10 shortlisted startups would be able to sweep the judges off their feet at our TOP100 Qualifier Roadshow.

They will pitch in front of panels of judges April 24, Tuesday to determine which of them are able to be a strong proponent for South Korea.

They will battle it out to be crowned the Judges’ Choice and Fan Favourite – get fast-tracked to the Finals at Echelon Asia Summit in Singapore this June amongst the shortlisted 100 – and ultimately vie for prizes from WeWork, STSP, Web in Travel and SPRING Singapore!

In alphabetical order, these are the ones to watch:

  • Bibimble

  • Braillist

  • CHESIMI

  • Dable

  • PiQuant

  • RaveCircuit

  • Tella

  • The Language Network
