11-year-old boy falls 17 floors from block at Fernvale Link

An 11-year-old boy fell from the 17th floor of his block at Fernvale Link on Wednesday (18 May).
The Singapore Police Force said received a call for assistance at 6.47am. Upon arrival, they found the boy was lying motionless at the bottom of Block 407A. He was pronounced dead by the paramedics at the scene.
Media reports said the boy was going to school to collect his exam results. Neighbours told Chinese Daily Shin Min that they heard the family quarreling earlier that morning.
The boy’s father was seen sobbing next to his son’s body and apologising to him, while his wife sat on the ground crying.
Police are investigating the unnatural death.
