Customs officers have seized some 11,033 units of sexual enhancement drugs with an estimated street value of $178,000.

The contraband was discovered by Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officers on Monday (9 October) afternoon when they conducted checks on a 40-footer container at a warehouse in Gul Way.

The container was presented for clearance at the Tanjong Pagar Scanning Station and had been sealed for checks at the premises of the freight forwarder.

In the course of their inspection, ICA officers noticed four crates declared as “plastic household wares and wooden toys”. Upon opening the crates, the officers found the sexual enhancement drugs. The drugs have been handed over to the Health Sciences Authority for investigations.
