15 acres of dry land of college campus converted into lush green reserve in Puducherry

Puducherry, Aug 21 (ANI): Tagore Government Arts College, located in Lawspet, is one of the leading colleges in Puducherry. Principal, Dr Sasikant Das found the college premises in a dry, barren state and he got it transformed into a lush green reserve. While speaking to ANI, Dr Das said that it was a responsibility and an opportunity to turn the campus green. He believes that environment plays a vital role in education. With the collective efforts of college staff, the principal was able to plant 3,000 trees in a stretch of 15 acres of land. “It's not just about getting a college certificate ... it's about knowing what life is all about” said Dr Das.
