Now into our fourth month of lockdown, it's perhaps unsurprising that there's a nationwide craving for posh nosh. Takeaways have been our saviour when the monotony of cooking, cleaning and meal planning becomes too much: demand for takeaway fish and chips increased by 208 per cent in the first three months of lockdown according to one food delivery service, while it's estimated that the volume of lamb sold via takeaway in May increased by 82 per cent on last year, thanks to the number of kebabs and curries being consumed across the country.

High-end restaurants have risen to the occasion, too, adapting their menus to create luxury meals that can be eaten at home. Supper, essentially a posher version of the food delivery app Deliveroo, has seen a boom in business, with customer demand increasing by 700 per cent. Restaurants such as Hakkasan in Mayfair and Zuma in Knightsbridge, which had previously refused to offer takeaway, signed up to the app within three days of lockdown.

And though an eat-in meal at many of these restaurants may land you with a bill well into triple figures, their takeaway offerings are not as pricey as you might expect. A two-course set menu from Michelin starred Torbay restaurant The Elephant, for example, costs just £19 – the cheapest Michelin-starred takeaway available, according to a survey carried out by kitchen manufacturer Kutchenhaus.

Whether you're planning a special occasion, or simply fancy treating yourself (and supporting the hospitality industry while you're at it), top-end restaurants around the country are busy making meals for you to enjoy at home. Some of them are continuing even while normal dining service resumes, others are a temporary service until the restaurant reopens, so order fast. Here are 15 of our favourites.

Two Michelin stars

L’Enclume, Cumbria

Each week Simon Rogan and his team create a three-course seasonal tasting menu at £30 per person, using ingredients from their farm (a menu voted best value for money by Kutchenhaus); L'Enclume's pre-lockdown tasting menu was £159. Expect the likes of glazed beef cheef with artichoke and thyme, lemon balm pannacotta and their homemade sourdough with whipped butter. Order before Tuesday for local delivery on Friday and Saturday (and throw in a wine flight for an extra £25 if you are feeling flush). simonroganathome.co.uk

Kitchen Table at Bubbledogs, London
