Princess Charlotte is the Prince and Princess of Wales' second-eldest child and only daughter.
Named after her great-grandmother, the Queen, and late grandmother, Princess Diana, Charlotte Elizabeth Diana was born on May 2, 2015 in the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Paddington, weighing 8lbs 3oz, with landmarks around the country lit up to mark her arrival.
The young royal instantly made history. After her birth, she became the first female royal to be able to maintain her place in the line of succession. Thanks to a change in the law that was made before her brother Prince George was born, her younger brother Prince Louis doesn't usurp her spot in the path to the throne.
Over the years, royal fans have watched as the princess has grown into a confident and cheeky young girl.
Who can forget when she playfully poked her tongue out at competitors during the King's Cup regatta, or when she told photographers "you're not coming" after the christening of little brother Louis?
And we all wondered what she was thinking when she put her hand in front of her face at Princess Eugenie's wedding to Jack Brooksbank in 2018.
In 2022, the royal's public appearances began to increase as she attended several events across the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations and even accompanied her parents to the 2022 Commonwealth Games by herself.
Just four days after her eighth birthday, Charlotte attended the King's coronation along with other members of the royal family - and she had a twinning moment with her mum Kate.
Both Charlotte and the Princess of Wales wore matching Alexander McQueen looks to the Westminster Abbey ceremony, and Charlotte also wore a miniature version of Kate's crystal laurel headpiece.
