KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 17,064 school teachers stationed in Pahang’s 4G zones will receive the Telephone Yes Altitude 4G data plan, distributed by the Education Ministry, by the end of March.
Deputy Education Minister Datuk P Kamalanathan said the nationwide distribution of the 2GB individual data plan, under Phase Two of 1Bestari.net, is underway.
“The distribution of the 4G 1Bestari Programme is being carried out in phases. It started in Nov 2016, and is expected to be completed by April 2017.
“The ministry will accelerate the distribution of (Telephone Yes) to 361 schools at 4G zones in Pahang, starting next Monday,” he told the Dewan Rakyat today.
Kalamanathan was replying to questions by Datuk Abdul Rahman Mohamed (BN-Lipis) on the reason for the failure of Telephone Yes Altitude 4G’s distribution for teachers in Pahang, when teachers in several other states are already using the facility, which eases teachers’ access to the internet.
