RELATED: Here’s What’s Coming to Disney+ in July 2020 (From ‘Hamilton’ to ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’)
1. ‘Ducktales’ (1987-1990)
Donald Duck and his family were all the rave back in the day, especially his rumbustious nephews. Watch Huey, Dewey and Louie cause chaos all in the name of fun.
2. ‘Darkwing Duck’ (1991-1993)
This animated series was the go-to morning cartoon. If you’re a DuckTales fan, here’s a spinoff you’ll enjoy. A duck as a superhero? You can’t get any more ‘90s than that.
3. ‘Boy Meets World’ (1993-1999)
This coming-of-age show was peak ‘90s. Whether you related to Cory, Shawn or Topanga (let’s face it we are all Topanga), follow along as they navigate from middle school to adulthood.
4. ‘Gargoyles’ (1994-1996)
Who knew a group of talking gargoyles would have us glued to the TV as kids? After a sleeping curse is broken, the stone warriors try their best to stay hidden and fight crime.
5. ‘Doug’ (1996-1998)
Follow along as Doug takes you through his imaginative world (and possibly made journaling fun to do.) Also, who can forget some of the weirdest characters’ names on television—Doug Funnie, Pattie Mayonaise and Mosquito “Skeeter” Valentine.
6. ‘Recess’ (1997-1999)
The ‘90s animated series is all about appreciating how fun recess used to be (even if the cartoon version is way more adventurous and dramatic than ours was). T.J and the gang turned recess into its own little world filled with sub-communities, laws and an elementary school government.
7. ‘Smart Guy’ (1997-1999)
A comedy series about a 10-year-old genius who starts attending the same high school as his older siblings. Honestly, what can go wrong?
8. ‘Out of the Box’ (1998-2002)
If you’ve hummed along to the theme song or grabbed any object in your house for makeshift drums at the end of the episode, then it’s time to relive the imaginary clubhouse filled with crafts, music and fun games again.
9. ‘So Weird’ (1999-2000)
Supernatural, mystery and science fiction is the trifecta of this ‘90s series. Join Fiona as she goes on a quest to solve her father’s death and post her paranormal findings on her blog way before social media was a thing.
10. ‘Even Stevens’ (2000-2003)
Before Shia Lebouf was making blockbusters and memes, he was one of the OG Disney stars. Watch Louis navigate through middle school, torment his older sister and execute over-the-top pranks we loved as a kid.
11. ‘Kim Possible’ (2000-2007)
A teen spy? Yes please. Follow each episode as she goes works through her toughest assignments—fighting bad guys and acing high school.
12. ‘The Proud Family’ (2001-2002)
With Destiny’s Child, featuring Solange, singing the theme song, you can’t help but follow Penny Proud navigate pre-teen life (boys, friends and school) while dealing with her over-the-top family.
13. ‘Lizzie McGuire’ (2001-2002)
From the fashion to the witty comebacks, the teen comedy series will have you reliving the early 2000s. Plus, we don’t only get the Hilary Duff as Lizzie, we also get a spunky animated sidekick playing her self-conscious.
14. ‘That’s So Raven’ (2003-2006)
Raven Symoné as a teenage psychic? Enough said. Check out her constant costume changes, funny catchphrases and how she somehow manages to overanalyze every vision she has of the future.
15. ‘Phil of the Future’ (2004-2005)
Want a peek into the future? Phil and his family stick out like a sore thumb and attempt to fit in as they try to head back to the year 2121 from 2004. (Oh, and you might find some hidden popular guest stars in the mix.)
16. ‘Suite Life of Zack and Cody’ (2005-2007)
Ya know, just pre-teen twins living in a hotel. We don’t know about you, but it sounds like a dream come true for any age. (And if you can’t get enough of their shenanigans, check out their spinoff Suite Life on Deck too.)
17. ‘Hannah Montana’ (2006-2011)
Let’s face it: We’re still jamming out to the fictional pop star’s hits today. Miley Cyrus played the high school teen by day and the famous pop star by night, which truly meant she was living out her iconic theme song, “Best of Both Worlds.”
18. ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ (2007-2012)
If you love Harry Potter, add this comedy series to your watchlist. Starring Selena Gomez, the show is about wizards-in-training who get into magical mischief with wolves, vampires and any other supernatural beings you can think of.
19. ‘Sonny with a Chance’ (2009-2011)
Sonny (played by OG Disney star and singer Demi Lovato) wins a talent contest and gets a chance to be part of her fave TV series. She soon finds herself learning the ropes of showbiz, participating in quirky sketches (that reminds us of a kid version of SNL) while dealing with a long-standing rivalry with drama show “MacKenzie Falls.”
