Two people in their 20s are facing first-degree murder charges in the death of Wilson Sabarros in Barrhaven last week, Ottawa police announced Friday.
Police were called to Pondhollow Way, a residential street near the intersection of Longfields Drive and Cambrian Road, around 5:15 p.m. last Friday. The 58-year-old's body was found in a home.
Police say Mia Tejada, 28, and Omar Assaad, 26, are expected to appear in court on Friday. Both suspects are from Ottawa.
Sabarros's former partner told CBC he was a lovely and generous man, and a committed father to their two-year-old daughter.
