2 COVID clusters linked to staff at Toa Payoh, Punggol bus interchanges: MOH

SINGAPORE — Two new COVID-19 clusters linked to staff working at Toa Payoh bus interchange and Punggol bus interchange have been detected, the Ministry of Health said on Thursday (26 August).

In its daily COVID-19 report, MOH said there are 25 cases currently linked to the Toa Payoh bus interchange, all of whom are staff members working there.

A total of 11 cases are currently linked to Punggol bus interchange, comprising 10 staff members working in the interchange and one household contact of a staff.

There are seven new cases at each of the interchange clusters.

All staff of both interchanges will be tested for COVID-19, and all close contacts of the cases will be placed on quarantine.

The two new clusters bring the total number of active COVID-19 clusters linked to staff members at bus interchanges to four.

Twenty-one cases, including two new ones added on Thursday, are linked to those working at the Bishan bus interchange while 22 are linked to those working at the Sengkang bus interchange.
