ONE: EDGE OF GREATNESS promises to bring together the best martial artists in Singapore for a night of spectacular action.

The World Champions, international superstars, and local heroes who are set to compete in “The Lion City” have amassed a collection of incredible performances.

Ahead of next Friday’s live ONE Championship extravaganza, we preview just two of the local heroes’ best victories.

Amir Khan Finishes Honorio Banario In The First Round

In September 2018, Amir Khan pulled off the biggest win of his career when he defeated former ONE Featherweight World Champion Honorio “The Rock” Banario at ONE: BEYOND THE HORIZON.

Early in the first round, Khan and Banario traded punches and kicks in a tense striking exchange.

As his Filipino adversary surged forward with a punch and body kick combination, Khan took advantage and landed a double-leg takedown to bring Banario to the ground.

However, the Team Lakay representative got back to his feet.

Khan continued to defend well against an advancing Banario, but he soon found the space for another takedown.

He took “The Rock’s” back and forced him to the canvas. Then, Khan slid his right arm underneath his foe’s chin, locked up the rear-naked choke, and forced the tap at the 4:34 mark in the first round.

By doing so, Khan snapped Banario’s five-bout win streak and added another submission win to his stellar resume.

The young lion is ready to roar in the Singapore Indoor Stadium next Friday when he takes on Malaysian-Kiwi knockout sensation Ev “E.T.” Ting.

Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke’s Knee Salvo TKO

Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke is one of the most beloved Muay Thai competitors in the history of the sport.

The Thai legend used his mastery of “the art of eight limbs” to finish Robin “The llongo” Catalan at ONE: QUEST OF GREATNESS in August 2017.

Despite being taken down early in the first round, Amnuaysirichoke remained composed and got back to his feet.

The former ONE Strawweight World Champion began to apply his world-class Muay Thai striking, but his Filipino opponent defended well to close the round.

As soon as the bell sounded to start the second frame, the Thai veteran went after Catalan with everything in his arsenal.

He locked up Catalan in the clinch and proceeded to fire a salvo of knee strikes and elbows till his Filipino foe crumbled to the mat.

The referee stopped the contest at just 46 seconds into the frame, giving Amnuaysirichoke his second straight knockout victory.

The Muay Thai icon will return to action against Pakistani rising star Muhammad Imran next Friday.

Before that show goes down, check out ONE Championship’s next event ONE: AGE OF DRAGONS this Friday, 16 November.
