A total of 12,538 students took last year’s GCE A-level examination and 92.6 per cent of these students obtained at least three H2 passes and a pass in General Paper (GP) or Knowledge and Inquiry (KI), said the Ministry of Education (MOE) on 24 Feb (Friday).

This is a slight drop from the 93.1 per cent achieved by students in 2015.

The 92.6 per cent pass percentage is the second-best performance by A-level takers since the curriculum was revised 10 years ago,

On Thursday, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Long had wished students well via his Facebook page. “Whatever your results, do take the time to consider what your interests and strengths are, and pursue them,” he wrote.

“Your early 20s are a great time for self discovery and adventure. Remember to stay focussed, motivated, and driven. All the best!”
