Have Your Say: Should 21 Be The Legal Age For Smoking In Singapore?

Parliament announced yesterday that the legal age for smoking will be raised to 21 over the next few years, to much public scrutiny. In Singapore, the legal age to work is 13, to have sex is 16, to watch a “mature” movie and to drink is 18, and to vote is 21.

What are your thoughts on the legal age for smoking and other activities? Should there be a discussion on what is considered “mature” for young Singaporeans today? Must a distinction be made over the vices of smoking and drinking?
