25 women arrested in two-day police blitz on entertainment outlets

Twenty-five women were arrested in a two-day police crackdown on public entertainment outlets along Jalan Sultan and North Bridge Road, which ended on Thursday (20 September).

The women, who are aged between 21 and 36, are all alleged to have committed employment-related offences. Two of the women are also said to have committed immigration-related offences.

In a statement, the police said three public entertainment outlets were also found to have contravened their licensing conditions under the Public Entertainment Act. The police said actions will be taken against the operators.
